This is my full time job, if I worked outside my home, I could not do what I do.  Raising one litter of pups IS a full-time job.  Socialization is priority.

We are unlike other "breeders" who work a full time job, and at the end of the

day, s/he comes home to raise a litter "part-time."  To raise a litter properly, it requires myself to be here full time.  I wouldn't want it any other way. 

What defines me from "other breeders" for one, I don't mass produce pups, which means we don't raise many litters all at one time, we are not a commercial kennel.  I see websites from other breeders with many litters due all at or around the same time.  My thought is how does that particular "breeder" know each puppy?  How much time is the breeder spending with each puppy, when they have 4 or more litters?  That is just my personal observation on that, and that's not for me.  I don't want care-givers or hired hands to raise my puppies.  The reason I choose to breed 1-2 litters at a time, is because I want to know each and every puppy I sell personally.  I want to know his/her personaility, temperament, behavior, drives etc., How many commercial breeders can say that?  Not many I'm afraid, while they have to hire care-takers to help, or sadly allow the litter(s) to raise themselves, I am giving my pups one on one attention.  My puppies are hand raised from birth until they leave here at 8 weeks of age.  No color coded collars for me, I know each puppy by face and personality as if they were my children.  The color coded collars are simply for potential buyers to identify the puppies in photographs.  My customers appreciate the manner in which I raise my pups.

We do not mix working lines with show lines, American lines with working lines like many other breeders do.  What other breeders do...that's up to them, but here we raise 100% West German Show Lines, no mixing American lines with working lines etc.,  Quality is #1 with us, always has, always will be.

Our puppies are hand-raised at birth and everyday until they leave our care. 

I spend unlimited hours per day, 7 days per week, just with the puppies.  There's no days off, or calling in sick, when raising a litter.  I have never taken a vacation in my life.  A well socialized pup, is a well socialized dog, that you can be very proud to own.  Each pup receives individual attention.  They receive the confidence they need to become the dog you expect and deserve for you and your family.  You get exactly what you put in to your dog.  They are familar with indoor/outdoor noises and activities at an early age.  Including riding in a vehicle, crate training, socializing with other animals, children, and people.  They each get tug toys, balls, lots of play-time, and lots and lots of LOVE and praise.  We motivate our pups with love and praise as teaching tools, not treats.  Its hard to part with them at 8 weeks.  Our puppies have the very best start in life, right off the bat.  Much blood, sweat and tears go into our breeding program!  I have devoted the majority of my life to the breed.   

I feel once you own a German Shepherd you will never desire another breed.  Why you ask?  For one, their intelligence is so amazing, they are very easily trained, you will be amazed by their level of intelligence at such an early age.  A German Shepherd will indeed spoil you!  They listen so well, you will wish your children listened as good.  Their patience level...only a GS dog could possess.  They will gladly lay their lives down for you or your family.  They are confident and fearless.  Their love for you is unconditional.  They hear, smell and sense danger long before you will.  They are so trusting that you will depend on them, and you know they will be right there for you.  Its called "natural protective instincts."  I know without a doubt, that anyone of our dogs here, would gladly lay down their lives for us, if needed.  They would do this without any hesitation, that is how loyal and devoted they truly are to their human family.  We give each one of our dogs much love, we have found our dogs are completely loyal and protective of our family.  Please don't get the words "Protective" and "Aggressive" confused.  There's a BIG difference!  I can be out in my yard and have my dogs out and the UPS man pulls in our drive, s/he gets out, our dogs will be alert, and bark to let me know someone is on the property, all I have to say "its okay."  They know who is a threat and who isn't.  An "aggressive" dog will go after whomever no questions asked.  We do NOT raise "aggressive" dogs.  All of our dogs have superb temperaments, which is passed on to their offspring.  Our dogs are part of our family and are treated as such.  We don't consider them "just dogs" and I know they don't.  They know they are part of our family and reward us with unconditional love and 100% loyalty.  Who could ask for more than that?

It has been said "if a dog was made for a man, and a man made for a dog, the German Shepherd would be that breed of dog."  The German Shepherd is the most versatile dog, from sports, herding, service K9, law enforcement, SAR,

and everything in between, but mainly they are the most loyal loving companion of any breed. 

Our dogs consists of 2 adult females, and 1 adult stud male, they have plenty of room for daily exercise (1 acre).  We give one on one attention, to our dogs and puppies, we don't raise them as "kennel" dogs.  Yes, I will have to admit, they are all spoiled rotten!  We specialize in Quality breeding, not quantity.  I cater to homes that want a puppy for their family, as devoted loving family companions.  Not to mention they can be easily trained for Schutzhund sport or Service K9s.  These pups are extremely intelligent they can be trained to do whatever you want them to do.  The dogs that we have now, and the litters they produce we are extremely proud of, we couldn't ask for any better.  Their pedigrees speak for itself.  (see pedigree link)

everything about that particular puppy.  By knowing each pup individually we are confident in placing each pup in their new forever homes.  We take much pride in our name and our dogs.  We are very picky when it comes to placing our babies.

We have the beautiful Black/RED German Shepherd puppies, they are of West German show lines.  We don't mix "working lines" with "show lines" like some breeders do.  Nor do we have "American lines."  All of our dogs are 100% GERMAN dogs.  (See "Our Dogs" link)  We are committed to breeding the highest Quality German Shepherds which includes health, temperament,

intelligence, conformation and working ability.  We use our own studs and we do not stud out to other breeders. Our dogs have generation after generation of good hips, this is documented on their German pedigrees.

ALL of our dogs that we use for breeding have been thoroughly examined by our vet, PRIOR to breeding.  Our dogs that we use for breeding have been

carefully selected, we only use the very best in our breeding program.  Our dogs are vaccinated yearly, vet examined yearly, and de-wormed on a regular schedule.  Our dogs are current on Heartguard preventative, and Frontline Plus year round.

We have outstanding females and males that produce fabulous off spring.  These pups are correct in structure, with superb temperaments, easy trainability and have nice bone mass with rich pigment.  Our dogs produce the type of puppies that everyone is looking for.  We have nice big boned, beautiful pups with absolutely gorgeous red color, with A-1 temperaments.

Note:  Don't be fooled by other "breeders" who sell puppies at "cheaper" prices, and claim "champion bloodlines."  While this may be true, the "champions" are usually 3-4 generations back.  Usually they are "breeding" working lines "mixed" with show lines, or American lines mixed with German bloodlines.  Our puppies that we sell are 100% West German Show Lines.    Our puppies are hand raised on a full time basis to ensure you are getting a well structured German Shepherd of sound mind and body.  As the old saying goes..."You get what you pay for."

Purchasing:  When you buy one of our puppies, you will receive a folder with the following...AKC litter registration application, copies of both parents' certified AKC pedigrees, photos of the parents, microchip enrollment form, vaccination/de-worming record, Vet health certificate.  Puppies leave here at 8 weeks of age.  They will receive 2 sets of vaccinations by the time they are 8 weeks old, beginning at 6 weeks of age.  De-worming starts at 3 weeks and repeated every other week until 8 weeks of age.  Vaccinations, de-worming and weight of your puppy is fully documented on each pup's health record. 

All of our pups are sold with a State Vet Health Certificate from a licensed Veterinarian in buyer's name.  Our vet thoroughly examines each pup PRIOR to sale.   

Prices:  Puppy prices start at $2000 and up plus ALL shipping charges.  See "puppies" & "for sale" links for exact prices.  We will match you with the perfect puppy to suit your needs.  Our puppies are sold on AKC LIMITED registration on a spay/neuter contract. Full AKC registration may be considered at additional costs per our approval.

Deposits on pups are $500 each (non-refundable)  Your selection of a particular puppy of a litter, is determined by order in which your deposit was received.  We do not hold or reserve any puppies without a deposit.  The reason for this, we only have a limited amount of litters per year, and the Quality of our puppies result in our litters to sell out quickly.  Early reservations are strongly recommended.  If a particular pup is not available your deposit will be transferred to the next available litter of equal quality, if no other litters are available your deposit will be rolled over to the next breeding.  Balance is due in cash at pick up, or if we are shipping, payment must be received 30 days before pup is shipped.  If you are sending a deposit the information to send the deposit, is located on the "contact" link.  Cash payment is required if you are picking up your pup in person.  We will accept cashiers check, money order for payment/deposit.  Sorry, we do not accept personal checks. Sold and shipped within the United States only.  We do not refund deposits.  All puppies are shown by appointment only.

Once deposit is received, we keep you well informed on your pup's progress.  From the time the litter is born, and every week there after, (as time permits) you will receive an email of weekly photos of the litter, and progress reports.  You will be kept well informed from the time the litter is born until the time you take your new family member home!  The 8 weeks go by in a hurry.

Our puppies are sold to approved loving-forever homes ONLY.  We have invested a tremendous amount of time and money into each puppy.  If

we charged per hour of our time that is devoted to each puppy, no one could afford to buy one.  Much love and care is given equally.  This is done, so when you take your pup home, he/she is the pup you expected for your family.  We want to be sure that the same love and care is continued once he/she leaves here.  Remember, this is a life time commitment. 

As you can see not only do we care about our dogs, we care about their

"living quarters" as well, each chain link pen is 6'x12' and sets on a concrete slab.  Each pen has its own supported roof system as you can see, covered with a heavy duty weather-proof tarp.  Each pen has a 4'x6' rubber horse stall mat, insultated dog houses, 5 gallon bucket for water.  In the winter the pens are fully enclosed to shield the dogs from wind, snow and rain.  They have their own pool in the summer for cool off, and not to mention all pens are completely shaded.  Pens are always kept very clean and sanitary.

Something you rarely see on other breeder's websites, are photos of their kennels and where they "house" their dogs.  I am proud to show photos of my

pens and where my dogs stay.  Not only are they outside dogs, they spend a great deal of time in our home as well.  Most breeder's websites show photos of their homes, myself I don't want to see "their" house, I want to see how they are raising a dog that I may consider purchasing.  Just something to think about the next time you visit a breeder's website...

We love the fact that our dogs are so lovable, and have the best temperaments in the world!  Not many dogs will allow you to put sunglasses on them, pose for a picture while sitting ever so patiently behind the wheel.  That's what good breeding is all about!!!  The picture of the "cool" dog is our baby Calla, she also does "therapy" work at the nursing home!

From time to time, people tell me, "lighten up, it's just a dog, " or, that's a lot of money for just a dog."  They don't understand the distance traveled, the time spent, or the costs involved for "just a dog."  Some of my proudest moments have come about with "just a dog."  Many hours have passed and my only company was "just a dog," but I did not once feel slighted.  Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by "just a dog," and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch of "just a dog" gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day.  If you, too, think it's "just a dog," then you will probably understand phrases like "just a friend," "just a sunrise," or "just a promise."  "Just a dog" brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy.  "Just a dog" brings out the compassion and patience that makes me a better person.  Because of "just a dog", I will rise early, take long walks and look longingly to the future.  So for me and folks like me, it's not "just a dog" but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment.  "Just a dog" brings out what's good in me and diverts my thoughts away from myself and the worries of the day.  I hope that someday they can understand that it's not "just a dog", but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being "just a man or woman."  So the next time you hear the phrase "just a dog" just smile...because they "just don't understand."
